RM/EAC OFFERS TEXANS UNIQUE HVAC/R SOLUTIONS

 
When businesses and homeowners in Central and South Texas need HVAC/R assistance, they know they can turn to RM Mechanical/Efficient Air Conditioning (RM/EAC). RM Mechanical has been serving customers since 1976, and recently adopted the name Efficient Air Conditioning for their service team in an effort to let customers know that efficient solutions are the company’s specialty.

“We take a whole-system approach to meeting our customers’ needs,” said George Drazic, owner of RM/EAC. “We really try to get in and diagnose problems. That way we can find out the customer’s real needs and get them the best solution.” This is at the heart of RM/EAC’s mission – “to provide high quality, efficient and professional services in an innovative manner that exceeds the expectations of our customers and surpasses all others in the HVACR industry.”

RM/EAC is a full-service HVAC/R provider offering design, build, repair and service of air conditioning systems, as well as heating, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment. “We specialize in complex commercial and residential projects, including unique applications such as solar and geothermal,” Drazic said.

Currently, RM/EAC employs 55 full-time workers and has a fleet of 25 service vehicles. While the company works on both residential and commercial projects, the greater percentage of their clientele is businesses. Also, most of RM/EAC’s new business is based on referrals. “We do limited advertising and send out some flyers, but we prefer to let the word spread on its own,” Drazic said. “Every customer has different needs, and providing the solution to meet these unique needs sells itself.”

Drazic believes that much of the success of RM/EAC comes from how the business operates – both inside the shop and out in the field. “One of the most important things to us is to maintain the culture and principals which have led this business over the last 30 years, while offering new technologies and solutions to our customers,” he said.

Drazic said that excellent customer service coupled with employee training is one way RM/EAC is working toward this goal. “We strive to bring quality, service and an honest value proposition to our customers. We invest heavily in the training of our people, every week, to ensure the safety and quality of our work,” he said. “Personally, I try to create a friendly, collaborative work environment, which encourages hiring those we know. When problems arise, I try to maintain focus on the customer and solution rather than the fault.”

The use of Carrier® products has also helped Drazic and RM/EAC offer superior service to their clients. “Carrier has been providing quality, high-performing equipment and support to the industry longer than anyone,” said Drazic. “They offer a wide range of products which makes it easier for us to get the right value to our customers.”

Drazic also educates customers to the numerous rebate programs that are currently available. “We really work with customers to help get rebates and tax credits, and all of the work we do is eligible for these benefits,” he said. “There are many different programs right now, from manufacturer’s rebates to city rebates, and most customers are taking advantage of them.”

Drazic takes pride in the Austin, Texas community and is involved with a number of organizations. He serves on the Board of Associated Builders and Contractors, and provides sponsorship to Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas. Additionally, Drazic and RM/EAC conduct fundraising for Milagros, a support group for the families of children with congenital heart conditions, and assist with local Habitat for Humanity building projects. “We enjoy being able to help our community,” said Drazic. “They support our business, so it’s great when we’re able to give back to them.”
