Puron refrigerant, used in residential and light commercial air conditioning, is environmentally sound and chlorine-free. It is the alternative to R-22 refrigerant, which was commonly used in the past and, according to the 1990 Clean Air Act, must be phased out because it may cause the earth’s ozone layer to diminish.
